What Should We As The Rakyat Do?

Yesterday we talked about how the political landscape has changed overnight and what we are expecting from our Wakil Rakyats. Make no mistake but we the Rakyat are indeed expecting alot from them. Remember what has been said over and over again, we the Rakyat voted you in and we the Rakyat will vote you out if you don't perform. This will be the constant reminder from the people because we have expressed our feelings clearly that enough is enough.

Judging by what I have read on blogs and other newsletters, it is very clear that Malaysians have indeed matured in their thinking. Criticism is now done more openly and people are beginning to speak their mind. This will only augurs well for all Malaysians. We should stand up for our rights and fight for equality in all aspects. At the same time, we should also help one another regardless of race and religion to better each others living standard. When we all experience prosperity and are able to provide a better life for our families, the tendency of accusing one another and causing racial tensions will die a natural death. This is because everyone is sharing the fruits of their labour and not only selected people are enjoying better benefits while others are left to suffer. No one in their right mind would want to throw away a good life they have built for themselves. With support from one another, anything is possible. Malays, Chinese, Indians and all other races should stand as one... MALAYSIANS!

So the time has come for all Malaysians to look to our left and right and take the necessary steps to help our neighbours. It is the first step we take that will make all the differences. We cannot just keep on waiting for the other party to make their first move. This is not like going to a party where the guys and girls sit on opposite sides of the dance floor while waiting for an invitation to dance. We must pass that hurdle now and be bold to make the first move. Only then will true change comes to improve all our lives.
