Malaysia for ALL Malaysians

Well about 2000 people protested in Penang yesterday because the new MB of Penang wanted to promote open tender system and to phase out NEP. This protest was led by UMNO in Penang to show their unhappiness on the proposal. Isn't open tender system a better way to go? Are Malay contractors not confident enough to enter themselves in the open tender system? I think Malay contractors are more capable then what the UMNO pictured them to be. This just goes to show that UMNO themselves have no confidence in their own people. They felt that the Malay contractors are being marginalised. Furthermore, the call for the Federal Government to cancel all projects meant for Penang is nothing more than an act of revenge. Yes, Malaysians did vote against the BN. Yes, Malaysians wanted change. Yes, Malaysians did voiced out Enough is Enough. But what funds for projects that are already allocated are considered done deals and UMNO should not deprive Penangites and the rest of Malaysia from it. UMNO should show good faith in the true spirit of democracy and see to it that these projects are all carried out transparently and for the good of all. After all UMNO keep saying time and time again that all Malaysians are their concern so don't back down from your pledge.
